What a room at Zestrea Brebului looks like

Each of the ten rooms has its own bathroom and is furnished with carved wood and hand-woven textiles gathered from the old houses of the village. The windows look onto the courtyard or the hills beyond.

The simple things that matter on a stay are all there: comfortable beds, fresh linen, Wi-Fi and the quiet of a village at the foot of the mountains.

  • Private bathroom in every room
  • Wi-Fi
  • Mountain view
  • Traditional textiles

Breakfast and dinner, from the garden

Stays at Zestrea Brebului are built around half board: breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is the one guests talk about at home — homemade cheeses, smoked bacon, eggs from the hens in the yard, forest-fruit jams, fresh bread, milk and natural yoghurt.

Dinner follows the cooking of the region: mushroom stew, goulash with locally raised beef, sarmale in pickled cabbage leaves cooked in a clay pot, pies and doughnuts.

The guesthouse beyond your room

Outside the rooms, guests have the courtyard with its wooden pavilion, the indoor pool and the sauna. Evenings can end around the campfire, with folk music and stories from the locals.

The courtyard also has a playground, so families with children have a safe space where the little ones can run.
